Eyeglass frames covered by vision insurance at Anderson Family Vision in Bozeman

Vision insurance vs. medical insurance — what's the difference?

Vision plans typically cover a routine annual eye exam and contribute toward glasses or contact lenses. Medical insurance comes into play when there's a medical problem with your eyes — infections, injuries, dry eye disease, glaucoma, cataracts, or diabetic eye monitoring. Many of our Bozeman patients use both in the same year. Not sure which applies to your visit? That's our front desk's specialty — call and we'll sort it out before you come in.

What if I don't have vision insurance?

You're welcome here. Many patients pay out of pocket, and our exam and eyewear pricing is straightforward and fair — patients regularly tell us our name-brand frames cost less than they expected.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes — eye exams, prescription glasses, prescription sunglasses, and contact lenses are all qualified expenses for HSA and FSA funds.

Do you bill insurance for me?

We do. Bring your card to your visit and we handle the claims — patients tell us we go the extra mile on insurance, and we take that reputation seriously.
